The size of the user's web browser window is probably one of the biggest
headaches when it comes to web page design.
Ultimate Suggestion: Build a page with a table set to a width of 783
pixels or smaller OR build using tables with percentages so the table
will resize to the browsers viewable area.
The Problem:
There is Hope:

Most people use 800 x 600
pixels or Higher
-
Internet Explorer or Netscape web browsers
are the most popular.

In Netscape's case
the minimum live space is 783 x 398 pixels.
There is another problem which can
be resolved. If your page is not confined, it will resize to the browser. The
resize can ruin your layout but you can fix this by
laying
out your web page using tables with fixed pixel width so your web page will
have the same layout whatever screen resolution the user is using.
