Turn OFF Friendly Error Messages
By: Aaron B. Copyright AaronOutpost.com

To be able to determine what the problem is, you need to turn off friendly error messages. Microsoft, being the geniuses they are, made friendly error messages for the belayed person. Well that's not you anymore!

Common error messages displayed are:

The page cannot be displayed.
HTTP 500 - Internal server error.

Yada Yada, just makes you mad don't it, you have an error, but the computer is too stupid to figure it out right? Well not actually, it does know and it can tell you what it is.

Turn off Internet Explorers, Friendly HTTP Error Messages function

STEP 1 :  You need to select Tools then Internet Options from the menu at the top of Internet Explorer.

STEP 2 : In the Internet Options Dialog box, you want to choose the Advanced tab.

STEP 3 : Uncheck the tick box for Show friendly HTTP error messages

STEP 4 : Then click the Apply button or the OK button if you are completely done with the Dialog Box.

STEP 5 : Now refresh the page that is not working. Instead of getting The page cannot be displayed. You should now get the real error. NOTE: It will only display first error, there could be more then one. It will then display the new error.
